In 2023, it is aimed that the number of airline passengers will increase by 68% to 216 million 615 thousand.

The number of domestic passengers, which was 68 million 711 thousand 173 last year, is estimated to increase by 46% this year to 100 million 98 thousand 202. It is predicted that the number of domestic passengers will reach 113 million 368 thousand 938 in 2023.
AIRCRAFT TRAFFIC WILL INCREASE
Air traffic, which was 1 million 461 thousand 577 last year, including transit overpasses, is expected to increase to 2 million 39 thousand 903 this year. It is estimated that the aircraft traffic will increase to 2 million 214 thousand 445 next year.
According to the report, domestic air traffic will increase by 43% in 2023 compared to the previous year and will reach 1 million 61 thousand 33. In the said period, international air traffic will increase by 64% from 464 thousand 624 to 761 thousand 705.
Compared to last year, there will be a 53% increase in transit overpasses in 2023. The transit overpass, which was 255 thousand 622 last year, will increase to 344 thousand 978 this year and 391 thousand 707 next year.
4.9 MILLION TONS OF LOADS TO BE TRANSPORTED IN 2023
The freight movement, which was 3 million 358 thousand 769 tons last year at airports across Turkey, is expected to be 4 million 502 thousand 616 this year and 4 million 884 thousand 358 next year.
In 2023, there will be an increase of 45% in freight transportation compared to last year. In the said year, it is aimed to increase the freight traffic by 35% on domestic lines and by 48% on international lines compared to last year.
It is planned to carry 1 million 899 thousand 745 tons of cargo this year, and 2 million 14 thousand 315 tons in 2023, at the airports where 1 million 615 thousand 709 tons of cargo was transported last year.
