In Bursa, one of Turkey’s most important automotive production centers, 117 thousand 430 vehicles were unloaded from the tape in the first quarter of the year, while the daily production number was over 1300.
According to the information compiled by the AA correspondent from the Automotive Industry Association (OSD) data, the total automotive production in Turkey in the January-March period was 360 thousand 766, including tractors.
Ford Otosan made the highest contribution to the general automotive production of the country in the 3-month period of the year with the production of 103 thousand 373 vehicles, while Toyota took the second place with 69 thousand 798 productions.
The production of Hyundai Assan, established in Kocaeli, in the first quarter was 40,600.
Operating in the “automotive base” Bursa, OYAK Renault manufactured 58 thousand 999 vehicles, TOFAS 58 thousand 180 and Karsan 251 vehicles, while the contribution of the city to Turkey production was 32.5%.
The average of vehicles unloaded from the daily tape in Bursa was recorded as 1304.7.
68% OF VEHICLES PRODUCED IN BURSA WERE EXPORTED
In the first quarter of the year, 264,735 vehicles, corresponding to 73.4% of Turkey’s total production, were sent abroad.
Ford Otosan sold the highest number of vehicles with 85 thousand 12 vehicles, Toyota sold 54 thousand 393 vehicles and Hyundai Assan sold 36 thousand 448 vehicles to the countries.
Bursa played an important role in automotive exports as it was in production. 80 thousand 276 of the 117 thousand 430 vehicles produced in Bursa, which constitutes 68.3%, took their place on the world’s roads.
During this period, OYAK Renault, which operates in Bursa, exported 47 thousand 113 vehicles, TOFAS 33 thousand 108 and Karsan 55 vehicles, while the daily average of the city was 892.
