DepOrtak received a seed investment of $450 thousand on a valuation of $1.8 million

DepOrtak, the digital storage platform that went live on March 1, received its first seed investment with a valuation of $1.8 million.

DepOrtak, which was implemented under the leadership of Akin Arslan and Oruc Kaya after a business and software development process of approximately 2 years, attracted great attention in the entrepreneurship ecosystem in a short time with the enhanced-intelligence supported technologies it offered to the storage area.

The venture, which has been on the radar of Talha Holding, one of the well-established groups in the logistics industry, received its first investment of $450 thousand from Abdullah Kucuk and Talha Kucuk, who represent the young generation of Talha Holding.

It aims to serve in 50 countries in the next 5 years.

DepOrtak, which came to life as the startup of Akin Arslan, the founder of Tirport, which is ranked among the few logistics technologies in the world by global authorities such as Crunchbase, Gartner, and Supplify, and Oruc Kaya, one of the best theorists of warehousing in our country, set out with ambitious solutions that will show the difference not only in Turkiye, but also in Europe and its region with its technologies. In the next 5 years, it aims to manage over 10 million m2 of storage space in Turkiye and over 30 million m2 globally through its platform, and to serve in more than 50 countries around the world. With the “gray storage” concept developed by DepOrtak, it aims to colorize the “gray storage” areas that are not currently used as warehouses, but can be a solution to alternative storage needs, including e-commerce, especially home and office storage, after the necessary arrangements are made, by adding them to the inventory.

It will be possible to deliver e-commerce products from micro warehouses to the customer within 2 hours

With the last kilometer storage technologies that DepOrtak will put into use in 2024, it will also make it possible for hundreds of thousands of sellers on e-commerce sites to deliver their products to their customers in less than 2 hours via DepOrtak Micro Warehouses that will be located in the streets. While DepOrtak enables end-to-end digital management of all storage processes with its technologies, on the other hand, it brings warehouses and those who need storage together on a new generation digital platform. It allows hundreds of commercial warehouses and gray warehouses that are digitally connected to each other to be managed, shared and integrated into e-commerce with network technologies.

As it is known, with the widespread use of smart phones, platform-based digital business models that connect service providers with service users continue to be a part of our lives. This new business model, which started with Uber in 2010, has expanded with the solutions produced by Airbnb in the accommodation sector. Then, as of 2016, digital freight-truck networks such as Convoy, Sennder, Coyote, CargoX and Tirport started to radically change everything in the transportation industry. Today, these business models, also called “Digital Freight Networks”, are becoming widespread in all sectors.
