“The length of the metro line, which we have completed in Istanbul and put into the service of our people, is 80 kilometers.”

“Today, we continue the construction of 7 separate metro lines in Istanbul, together with the Basaksehir-Cam and Sakura City Hospital-Kayasehir Metro line, where we took part in the rail welding ceremony. We can list these lines as follows.”

“Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality started the construction of Basaksehir-Cam and Sakura City Hospital-Kayasehir Metro line, with which we were together at the rail welding ceremony. It will provide transportation to Kayasehir, where mass housing and population density is very high and Cam and Sakura City Hospital, one of the world’s largest and most advanced hospitals.”

“Unfortunately, no work has been done on this line, which is one of our top priority lines, until the day we took over it in July 2019. The construction of the metro line was stopped. As you can remember, the same mentality did not make the roads to the Cam and Sakura Hospital, but our ministry made all the necessary roads for transportation to the hospital.”

“With the presidential decree, the construction of Basaksehir-Kayasehir Metro Line was transferred to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. With the progress of 5%, we brought the project we took over on May 22, 2020 to 72%.”

“The length of our Basaksehir-Cam and Sakura City Hospital-Kayasehir Metro Line is 6.2 kilometers. Our 4-station rail system will be able to carry 70 thousand passengers per day in accordance with a speed of 80 kilometers per hour. Our line starting from Basaksehir will reach Kayasehir Center after Onurkent, Cam and Sakura City Hospital, Mass Housing stations.”

“Today, with the first rail welding ceremony that will take place on the 300-meter long viaduct we built in front of Cam and Sakura City Hospital, we will start a new phase in the project by starting rail welding operations. We plan to complete the construction work in a short time and put it into operation once the signal and system safety tests are completed.”

“When we put this line into operation, a fast, economical and safe transportation will be provided between the city center and Cam and Sakura City Hospital and Kayasehir. This metro line will also be integrated with the Bagcilar-Kirazli, Basaksehir-Olimpiyatkoy line at Metrokent Station. Also, our line will be connected with Halkali-Istanbul Airport Metro line at Kayasehir Station.”

“With these integrations, the region will also be able to reach Marmaray, the airport, Gokturk Kemerburgaz, Kagithane, Besiktas and Gayrettepe by metro.”

“As a ministry, we do not only carry out large infrastructure projects, but also connect our major service lines to central settlements.”

“As the ministry, we also took over the highways and bridges that are connected to our Basaksehir City Hospital, which the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality refused to build, although it was their duty, and we completed the construction quickly. We will continue to be always next to and close to Istanbul.”
