Country produces 1.7B units of hen eggs, over 191,600 tons of chicken meat in March
Hen egg output in Turkey decreased 2.8% on a yearly basis to 1.7 billion units in March, the country’s statistical authority reported on Tuesday.
The country’s chicken meat production rose 9.3% to reach 191,629 tons in the month, TurkStat said.
Turkey’s meat production also increased 17.2% year-on-year in March, while the number of slaughtered chickens rose 10.5%.
The statistical authority will release the next poultry production report on June 11.
