Turkey will share its model factory experience with Azerbaijan

Within the scope of Minister Varank’s contacts with Azerbaijan, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan on cooperation and experience sharing in the field of model factory.

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank met with Azerbaijan Economy Minister Mikayil Cabbarov in the capital Baku, where he came to attend TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, Varank emphasized that relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan continue at the highest level in many fields such as defense, economy, energy, industry, technology, education, health and tourism.

“I hope we will pass this experience on to you”

Explaining Turkey’s model factory practices, Varank said, “We are opening Competence and Digital Transformation Centers, also known as model factories, in order to increase the efficiency of our businesses and guide their digital transformation. In model factory environments, we actually combine the theory and practice of our businesses. Today, within this framework, we will sign a strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding in the fields of model factories, lean production and digital transformation, and I hope we will convey this experience to you.”

After the meeting, Varank and Cabbarov signed the “Model Factory Memorandum of Understanding”.

During the meeting, TUBITAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal and Zekeriya Costu, General Manager of National Technology, were also present.
