TUIK announced the consumer confidence index

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the consumer confidence index data for June. The consumer confidence index decreased by 6.2% on a monthly basis to 63.4 in June.

The seasonally adjusted consumer confidence index, calculated from the results of the “Consumer Tendency Survey” carried out in cooperation with TUIK and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, decreased by 6.2% in June compared to the previous month. The index, which was 67.6 in May, was recorded as 63.4 in June.

In the current period, while the financial situation index of the household was 48.5 in May, it decreased by 8.1% to 44.5 in June. The financial situation expectation index of the household in the next 12 months period, which was 66.5 in May, decreased by 10% to 59.9 in June.

The general economic situation expectation index in the next 12 months period, which was 66.3 in May, decreased by 7.1% to 61.6 this month.

The index of the idea of spending on durable goods in the next 12 months, which was 89 in May, decreased by 1.8% to 87.5 in June.
