According to the Automotive Distributors Association (ODD) data, automobile and light commercial vehicle sales in April increased by 132.4% compared to the same month of 2020, reaching 61,488. In the same period, automobile sales increased by 121.6% to 48 thousand 375, while light commercial vehicle sales increased by 183.1% to 13 thousand 113.
On the other hand, according to the average 10-year April sales, the automobile and light commercial vehicle market decreased by 5.2%, the automobile market by 2.2% and the light commercial vehicle market by 14.9%. As of the end of April (January-April period), the total market for automobiles and light commercial vehicles in Turkey grew by 72.4% compared to the same period of 2020 and reached 260 thousand 148.
