‘’ As Presidency Investment Office, venture capital and technology start-ups are among our priority agenda items. This field must be our priority agenda as a country. As an entrepreneurship centre, Istanbul needs to reach its deserved place all over the world. For this reason, we took our place at the Web Summit, one of the most important events in the world, with the successful representatives of our country’s enterprise ecosystem. ‘’

Daglioglu, emphasizing that a new investment process has recently started, said:

‘’ Turkey is highly developed and has a supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem. In the last 10 years, we have proven the facts that entrepreneurship in Turkey can compete with the whole world, technology initiatives in our country have competent human resources and the technological competence of the products and services produced by these initiatives are able to export.  More importantly, international funds have invested enterprises in Turkey and achieved high rates of return by making very successful exits. We are going through a period in which many funds set up to invest in our country and we will observe a larger volume of investment in Turkey during the next 5 years. As the Presidency Investment Office, we work closely with all stakeholders in our country’s entrepreneurship ecosystem and support the public with all our strength.’’

Enis Hulli, Partner of 500 Start-ups Istanbul, who took part at the webinar as moderator, made the following evaluations:

‘’ Turkey has the fastest growing engineering pool in EMEA with an annual growth of 16.5 percent. The total amount invested in initiatives is around $ 100 million annually, Turkey has been one of the leading countries in this field with a total output volume of $ 3.5 billion since 2018. I believe Turkey is one of the most profitable markets in the world for early-stage investors considering the engineer potential, limited local investors, increased interest of foreign investors and the purchases.’’
