Expo, hosting around 100 producers, expects some 30,000 visitors, says head of organizer
A major Turkish caravan expo, the Istanbul Caravan and Equipment Fair, kicked off on Friday.
Participants in the two-week expo will exhibit camper trailers, motorhomes, tiny houses, tents, camper equipment, and accessories.
Some 100 firms are presenting more than 150 brands and products in the fair, including an electric-powered camper.
Ilhan Ersozlu, the head of the organizer firm Tuyap, said the event has been able to meet all the needs of the firms in the caravan and outdoor fields.
He added that around 30,000 people are expected to visit the expo.
A $125,000 luxury four-wheel-drive motorhome will be among the exhibits at the event.
Amid difficulties in the tourism and hospitality industries during the novel pandemic, demand for caravans and tiny houses, which allow for isolated nature travel opportunities, increased significantly.
