Capsule Technology Platform contributes to the National Technology Move

Established in Konya Science Center, Turkey’s first science center supported by TUBITAK, the Capsule Technology Platform was deemed worthy of an award in the Youth Friendly Cities Idea and Project Competition organized by the Union of Municipalities of Turkey (TBB). The Capsule Technology Platform, which was established to contribute to the National Technology Move and to integrate the harmony of young people with technology into their individual development, also provides support to teams participating in national and international competitions, especially TEKNOFEST.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who participated in the Youth Friendly Cities Congress and Exhibition held at Ankara Chamber of Commerce Congresium Congress and Exhibition Center hosted by TBB, congratulated all the participants, especially the winning municipalities, who brought a different perspective to Turkey’s municipal practice with their innovative ideas. Awards were presented to 22 municipalities that participated in the Youth Friendly Cities Ideas and Project Competition. The Capsule Technology Platform, which was established under the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, won the “Youth Friendly City Project Idea Award” in the competition, while President Altay received the award from President Erdogan.

OUR AIM IS TO MAKE OUR KONYA ONE OF THE TOPS OF TECHNOLOGY

Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Ugur Ibrahim Altay said, “Our priority is always our children and youth in our work as the Metropolitan Municipality. Our aim with the Capsule Technology Platform is to make our Konya one of the top of technology by contributing to qualified manpower, value-added production, national defense and technology studies. Hopefully, with this project, we will blend the thousands of years of experience of Konya, which has a magnificent and ancient history, with technology, and we will further increase our contribution to the development and growth of our country. On behalf of our city, I am very happy for such a meaningful award for young people. I would like to thank our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and everyone who deemed us worthy of the award.”

CAPSULE TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM

The Capsule Technology Platform, which was established in Konya Science Center, Turkey’s first science center supported by TUBITAK, brought to the city by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, to contribute to the National Technology Move and to integrate the harmony of young people with technology into their individual development, provides support to teams participating in national and international competitions, especially TEKNOFEST, and consists of 39 teams that support technology-oriented R&D studies.
