“WE WILL PROVIDE THE EXPORT OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES DEVELOPED IN MIGROS AND GAINED IN THE WORLD RETAIL”

Ozgur Tort gave the following information:

“With the knowledge we have in both physical retailing and e-commerce in international retail, we are adding a new one to our pioneering practices and bringing a new technology to the world retail. This advanced technology can also be used in physical stores and distribution centers. As Migros, we will enable the export of this technological system, which works in integration with robotic systems, artificial intelligence and algorithms and is the first in the world, for the use of international retailers.”

ROBOT ASSISTANT IS THE FIRST IN ITS FIELD

Migros, which has undertaken a pioneering work in the name of robotic technologies, which has gained great importance in the step of collecting products in high demand e-orders, aims to increase its service capacity with TARO. Migros, which turns the order picking process into a smart and flawless journey, maximizes productivity with TARO, and provides benefits for both its customers and employees. In line with the needs of Migros, the robotic product collection assistant TARO, developed entirely by Turkish engineers at Asis Automatisation, works in collaboration with robots and humans, making the lives of Migros employees easier. TARO collects the products in the baskets of customers who place online orders 5 times faster and without error, both increasing the service quality and making the operation processes easier.

Asis Automation CEO Yusuf Kaya said:

“Having implemented such a technology in less than 12 months from the thought phase was thanks to the harmonious work of the two teams and our company’s ‘robotics and industrial automation expertise’ for many years. Now is the time to carry this technology abroad with Migros and write new success stories.”

MAKING ITS OWN WAY, IT COMPLETES THE ORDER ERROR-FREE

TARO, which is an important step in terms of technology support it brings to the retail sector, draws the most accurate and shortest road map under the guidance of the smart shelves in the store. The system, which uses artificial intelligence and sensor technologies, where thousands of algorithms work in the background, thus quickly reaches the products included in the order. LED lights on the smart shelves light up to show the product, pointing to the correct product at the target. With the QR readers and basket weight sensors on the robot, the product is verified by Migros employees and the order is completed without error. With the robot with a user-friendly design, 3 orders can be collected at the same time.
