Turkiye: Central Bank reserves increased by $223 million and reached $117 billion 299 million

While the total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye increased by $223 million compared to the previous week and reached $117 billion 299 million in the week of 25 August, the upward trend was carried over to the 11th week in a row.

Weekly Money and Bank Statistics were published by the CBRT.

Accordingly, as of August 25, the gross foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank decreased by $338 million to $75 billion 955 million. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at the level of $76 billion 293 million on 18 August.

In the said period, gold reserves increased by $561 million from $40 billion 783 million to $41 billion 344 million.

Thus, the Central Bank’s total reserves rose from $117 billion 76 million to $117 billion 299 million in the week of August 25, with an increase of $223 million compared to the previous week.

While the upward trend in reserves was carried over to the 11th week in a row, the reserves, which were at the level of $98.5 billion as of the end of May, increased to $117.3 billion as of August 25. Thus, the increase in the period from the end of May to the said date reached approximately $18.8 billion.
