Kazakhstan to give Turkey 3 thousand additional transit passes in the first place

Kazakhstan Industry and Infrastructure Development Minister Beibut Atamkulov stated that they will carry out the necessary work for additional transit passes and said, “We will give Turkey 3 thousand additional transit passes in the first place.”

According to the written statement made by the Ministry, Adil Karaismailoglu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, in his online meeting with Beibut Atamkulov, drew attention to the long-established brotherhood between the two countries and underlined that they attach great importance to relations with Kazakhstan.

Karaismailoglu noted that Turkey continues to be the main transit route of Kazakhstan in transportation to Central Asian countries. Minister, who thanked for the 12 thousand additional transit passes provided by Kazakhstan last year within the framework of the negotiations, stated that a definitive solution should be found for the additional transit pass problem in order to prevent further interruptions in transportation and trade and to prevent this problem from happening again.

During the meeting, Minister Atamkulov stated that they will carry out the necessary work for additional transit passes and said, “Turkey will be given 3 thousand additional transit passes in the first place.” Atamkulov, who suggested that the technical delegations come together in a short time and discuss the details, wished to carry the brotherhood of the two countries to a further level.

At the end of the meeting, it was stated that the two ministers agreed to hold a “Land Transport Joint Commission Meeting” in early May.
