According to the “Natural Gas Market Sector Report” of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority for November of the previous year, Turkey’s natural gas imports increased by 7.5% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 4 billion 433 million 830 thousand cubic meters.
Of this, 3 billion 571 million 850 thousand cubic meters were imported through pipelines, and 861 million 980 thousand cubic meters were imported through liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities.
Thus, the total natural gas imports during this period increased by 7.5% to 4 billion 433 million 830 thousand cubic meters.
The highest natural gas imports in November last year, totaling 2 billion 302 million 970 thousand cubic meters, were from Russia, followed by 685 million 890 thousand cubic meters from Azerbaijan and 682 million 580 thousand cubic meters from Iran.
During this period, the amount of LNG imported from Algeria was recorded as 556 million 690 thousand cubic meters.
Gas consumption in residences decreased by 26.5% The total natural gas consumption in the country decreased by 5% annually to approximately 3 billion 407 million 530 thousand cubic meters in November of last year.
The natural gas consumption of the industrial sector increased by 10.1% to 1 billion 145 million 990 thousand cubic meters. Natural gas consumption in power plants decreased by 5.6% to 789 million 200 thousand cubic meters.
The natural gas consumption in residences during this period decreased by 26.5% to 756 million 90 thousand cubic meters.
Natural gas stock increased In November of last year, the natural gas stock quantity in Turkey increased by 1.16% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 5 billion 336 million cubic meters.
Out of this, 5 billion 91 million cubic meters are in underground storage facilities, and 245 million cubic meters are in LNG terminals.
