The digital fitness industry is growing fast

The fitness industry has entered a rapid digital transformation process with the effect of the pandemic. In addition, sports habits began to take shape according to the needs of people. In the hectic pace of life, fitness chains have also started to offer more flexible services to their customers and have adapted to the digital world. Gym revenues in Europe fell from €29 billion in 2019 to €17 billion in 2022, down 40%. A 23.7% growth is expected in 2025 in the digital fitness industry in Turkiye. It is envisaged that most fitness centers will adapt to the ‘digital fitness’ trend by offering online classes and integrating fitness apps for home workouts, thereby increasing their subscriber base.

The Woxis team has developed an advanced, innovative and domestic technology with 15 years of R&D experience in the digitized, individualized and developing sector. The aim of the initiative is to become one of the leading brands in the digital fitness industry by offering this innovative product both in our country and in the global market in a short time. Woxis Home Studio, which weighs 2.5 kg and can provide up to 30 kilograms of force, offers the user more than 200 exercises with its special apparatus without the need to go to a gym. In addition to its physical features, it analyzes the user’s training data with the digital coaching application, guiding the user and reducing the need for a trainer.

Target is to expand to distant markets

Speaking about the investment tour, Founding Partner Fatih Onur said, “We have brought our two products to the MVP stage with different public funds and R&D consultancy incomes we have provided in various fields, on this path that we started in 2018 as ION Teknoloji ve Ticaret. In this process, we have two different patent applications for the Woxis project, a new registered trademark and two design registrations. We are building our process by taking the right steps with the support we receive from the pioneering institutions of the entrepreneurship ecosystem such as ITU Cekirdek and Sinan Guler Sports Initiatives Accelerator Program. After successfully completing these stages, we met with investors through crowdfunding and decided that it was right to grow together. Receiving investment through crowdfunding will accelerate us in every aspect. We will run faster cooperation in our works by showing not only the financials we need, but also that hundreds of our investors trust us.”

Upon successful completion of the funding, the venture will convert the existing limited company into a joint stock company. After the CE certification and testing processes are completed with the prototype, the initiative plans to produce 100 Home Studio products by the end of 2023, and in parallel with the production process, domestic sales channels will be created and marketing activities will be carried out. The company, which aims to strengthen its capital by embarking on a new investment tour with the revenues to be obtained through product sales in the medium term, will introduce Woxis to the world by participating in the leading fairs of the domestic and foreign markets with this capital, which will be used to open up to the global market. After these studies, the initiative aims to launch a campaign on the US-based Kickstarter and achieve sales in Europe and North America. The venture company, which will increase its income by adding artificial intelligence infrastructure to the digital coaching application and activating the premium membership model, will increase its production number to 1,250 in the long term and open to Dubai, Qatar and South Korea markets.
