Regarding the effect of the earthquakes on February 6 on February data, Nebati said, “We continue to break export records with the Turkish Economy Model. Exports, which contracted in February with the effect of the earthquake disaster, increased by 4.4% annually in March, capturing the highest monthly export of all time. Thus, annualized exports broke a new record with $255.7 billion.”
Drawing attention to the data in vehicle sales and indices, Nebati said:
“While automobile sales and light commercial vehicle sales increased by 57.9% and 75.3%, the purchasing managers index (PMI) increased by 0.8 points compared to the previous month and remained above the threshold value, at 50.9%, in March. We continue to grow and strengthen our economy with our investment, employment, production and export-oriented approach, even in the most challenging conditions.”
