Vodafone: With 5G, revenue will increase by ₺1 trillion

Vodafone, which has signed two different studies analyzing the contributions of 5G and fiber technologies to the national economy, announced the results of these researches.

According to the research, with the implementation of 5G technology in Turkey, an income increase of more than ₺1 trillion and a GDP increase of ₺479 billion is expected in 15 years.

According to the impact analysis study prepared in cooperation with Vodafone’s Policy Analysis Laboratory (PAL), an increase of 2.2% in GDP every year until 2030 can be achieved with investments that will increase the fiber cable length by 4 times. If fast broadband access can be provided to all businesses by 2023, there may be an additional 1% increase in GDP. This additional increase corresponds to $8.1 billion according to 2023 GDP projections.

Vodafone Turkey CEO Engin Aksoy said that with the implementation of 5G in our country, an income increase of more than ₺1 trillion can be achieved in 15 years. Hasan Suel, Vice Chairman of Vodafone Turkey Executive Board, also demanded that 5G be given priority.
