Unigreen Energy gave Europe’s largest solar panel factory construction job to Limak Marash

Russian company Unigreen Energy has given the construction work of the solar panel factory to be built in the city of Chernyakhovsk in Kaliningrad to Limak Marash, Limak’s subsidiary in Russia.

According to the company statement, the facility, which will be Europe’s largest solar panel production factory when completed, will be among the world’s leading investments in this field.

The new factory, which is a subsidiary of the Russian company Unigreen Energy and will bear the name EnCore, will be completed in March 2023 within the scope of the contract signed between EnCore and Limak Marash.

According to the turnkey agreement, the final design of the factory, bureaucratic processes and all electromechanical works will be carried out by Limak Marash.

With the completion of a total investment of 24.7 billion rubles, it is expected that the solar energy sector in Europe will also change and the risks related to the supply chain will decrease.

The solar panels to be produced in the factory will be produced with HJT technology, which has been in high demand recently and has a very high efficiency. A significant portion of the solar panels to be produced in the factory, which will have a 1-gigawatt HJT solar cell production capacity, will be exported to overseas regions including Europe, Asia-Pacific and other places.

The facility, which will be built on a total area of 7 hectares, will consist of 14 buildings together with the communication infrastructure.
