A commercial delegation was sent to England by the Western Mediterranean Exporters’ Association (BAIB), which covers Antalya, Isparta and Burdur, in order to increase the region’s exports in the food sector.
According to the statement made by BAIB, vice president Ramazan Keskin, board members Suleyman Duran, Cuneyt Dogan and 15 company representatives came together with the food industry representatives in London with the support of the Ministry of Commerce.
The delegation held nearly 100 job interviews with British companies in a one-week program and examined the purchasing offices and supermarkets of the companies.
Evaluating the British market, consumer habits and demands, the delegation took important steps to increase food exports from the region to the UK market.
London Commercial Counselor Abdurrahman Deniz accompanied the BAIB delegation at the business meetings.
