Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index opens Thursday up 0.61%
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index rose 0.61% or 52.95 points to 8,797.54 points at the opening session on Thursday.
At Wednesday’s midweek close, the Borsa Istanbul BIST 100 index lost 1.31% to 8,744.58 points with a daily transaction volume of 108 billion Turkish liras ($3.42 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 31.8370 as of 10.10 a.m. (0710GMT) Thursday,the EUR/TRY rate stood at 34.8510, and the GBP/TRY traded at 40.5660.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,162.85, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $82.90.
