Turkiye’s stock exchange ends Monday at all-time high

BIST 100 index gains nearly 64 points, or 2.47%, from previous close

Turkiye’s benchmark stock index ended with gains on Monday to finish at an all-time high closing of 2,656.32 points.

After starting the week at 2,605.80 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index gained 63.94 points, or 2.47%, from Friday’s close of 2,592.38 points.

During the day, the index’s lowest value was 2,600.28,while its daily high was 2,656.76.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2.1 trillion Turkish liras ($118.3 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 35.6 billion liras ($2 billion).

One ounce of gold traded at $1,750 by market close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $99.5 per barrel as of 6.30 p.m. local time (1630GMT), down 4.5% on a daily basis.
