DHL Group, Turkish cargo delivery company MNG Kargo, Domestic and Foreign Transportation Inc. (MNG Kargo) and its subsidiaries completed the acquisition.
After receiving the necessary approvals from the Competition Authority and the Information Technologies and Communications Authority, the share transfer process was completed and MNG Cargo, one of Turkiye’s leading cargo delivery companies, has now officially become a part of the DHL family. MNG Kargo will be included in DHL Group’s eCommerce (DHL e-commerce) business unit and the integration will progress under DHL eCommerce management.
DHL eCommerce CEO Pablo Ciano said the following in his statement about the acquisition:
“MNG Cargo’s expertise in cargo delivery services and extensive domestic network will help us further expand our service offer in Turkiye and develop our cross-border European cargo network. This acquisition will enable DHL Group customers to benefit from unique logistics offerings within Turkiye and across borders, through collaboration with various DHL divisions already present in Turkiye.
MNG Cargo, which provides service with 27 transfer centers and more than 800 branches in all cities of Turkiye, will be a part of the DHL eCommerce unit and will complete the DHL eCommerce European cargo delivery network. The e-commerce market in Turkiye, which has a young and dynamic population that is prone to digitalization, is expected to grow in double digits, higher than the EU markets, in the coming years. Combining DHL eCommerce’s extensive global network and digital expertise with MNG Kargo’s local footprint, DHL Group aims to benefit from the high growth potential of the Turkish market.
