The regulation published by the European Economic Commission will be used to validate event/data logging systems for autonomous driving.
Tesla has been negotiating the regulation for a long time. As of today, the relevant regulation for FSD-style autonomous driving systems has been adopted in Europe. This regulation is also coming to Turkiye.
When Will the Regulation Take Effect ?
In Europe, Tesla is expected to be granted the first permit in the coming months and FSD will gradually become available to vehicle owners in October 2024. Turkiye,which is subject to European regulation, will also have the FSD feature on similar dates.
