Mediterranean furniture exporters made exports of $892 million last year

Within the scope of the Mediterranean Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters’ Association (AKAMIB), exports of $892 million were made in 2023.

According to AKAMIB’s statement, exports within the union in 2023 decreased by 5.8% compared to the previous year, reaching $892 million.

The most exports were made to Iraq, Germany and Libya.

AKAMIB President Onur Kilicer, whose views were included in the statement, stated that they started the new year with positive goals.

Noting that they turned to alternative markets to compensate for the losses, Kilicer said, “We believe that the postponed demands will come in 2024 and we will increase both our production and exports. We will continue to make promotions that will strengthen the perception of Turkiye and then Turkish furniture in every corner of the world, especially in the USA.”
