Turkiye: The construction cost index increased by 3.97% in May

The construction cost index increased by 3.97% on a monthly basis and by 105.73% on an annual basis in May.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the construction cost index data for May.

Accordingly, in May 2022, the construction cost index increased by 3.97% compared to the previous month and by 105.73% compared to the same month of the previous year. Compared to the previous month, the material index increased by 4.97% and the labor index increased by 0.18%. In addition, the material index increased by 130.73% and the workmanship index increased by 44.06% compared to the same month of the previous year.

The building construction cost index increased by 102.32% annually and 3.84% monthly.

The building construction cost index increased by 3.84% compared to the previous month and increased by 102.32% compared to the same month of the previous year. Compared to the previous month, the material index increased by 4.88% and the labor index increased by 0.06%. In addition, the material index increased by 126.55% and the labor index increased by 43.98% compared to the same month of the previous year.

The construction cost index for non-building structures increased by 4.37% compared to the previous month and increased by 117.40% compared to the same month of the previous year. Compared to the previous month, the material index increased by 5.23% and the labor index increased by 0.64%. In addition, the material index increased by 144.66% and the labor index increased by 44.34% compared to the same month of the previous year.
