The amount of cow milk collected increased by 4.6% on an annual basis in September

The amount of cow milk collected throughout Turkiye increased by 4.6% in September compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 786 thousand 213 tons.

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced milk and dairy products production data for September.

Accordingly, the amount of cow milk collected increased by 4.6% on an annual basis in September, reaching 786 thousand 213 tons.

The amount of cow milk collected increased by 3.1% in the January-September period compared to the same period last year, reaching 7 million 715 thousand 318 tons.

Drinking milk production by commercial dairy enterprises increased by 0.4% in September compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 123 thousand 742 tons.

In the January-September period, drinking milk production decreased by 1.9% on an annual basis to 1 million 97 thousand 333 tons.

In September, compared to the same month of the previous year, yoghurt production by commercial dairy enterprises increased by 4% and reached 110 thousand 858 tons. In the January-September period, yoghurt production increased by 3.5% on an annual basis and reached 919 thousand 627 tons.

Cow cheese production increased by 7.7% annually to 63 thousand 290 tons in September, and by 9.2% to 575 thousand 233 tons in the January-September period.

In September, buttermilk production increased by 6.5% to 76 thousand 139 tons, while butter production decreased by 8.6% to 6 thousand 787 tons.

In the January-September period, buttermilk production increased by 7.1% to 615 thousand 693 tons, while butter production decreased by 11.4% to 67 thousand 141 tons.

The amount of cow milk collected by commercial dairy enterprises, which was 823 thousand 67 tons in August, decreased by 4.5% to 786 thousand 213 tons in September.

In the same period, drinking milk production, which was 111 thousand 497 tons, increased by 11% and reached 123 thousand 742 tons.
