Turkiye: House Price Index increased by 8% in July

The House Price Index (KPI) increased by 8% in July compared to the previous month and became 507.6.

The House Price Index data for the period of July 2022 has been announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT).

The (KFE) (2017=100), calculated to monitor the quality-adjusted price changes of houses in Turkey, increased by 8% in July compared to the previous month and was recorded as 507.6.

While the House Price Index increased by 173.8% on an annual basis in July, the real increase in this period was 52.6%.

Looking at the changes in the house price index for the three big cities, there was an increase of 8.2%, 8.4%and 7% in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, respectively, in July compared to the previous month. Index values increased by 200.1% in Istanbul, 181% in Ankara and 162.2% in Izmir compared to the same month of the previous year.
