Türkiye hosts international youth camp on media

50 participants from different countries being trained in subjects such as social media, podcasts, content generation, video journalism

An international media training program for youths started on Sunday in the Turkish metropolis of Istanbul.

The International Media Training Camp, jointly organized by Anadolu Agency News Academy, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and Türkiye’s Ministry of Youth and Sports, aimed at familiarizing young people with important concepts in journalism, the media, and their role as youth leaders.

A total of 50 youths from OIC regions, including from Türkiye, Pakistan, Indonesia, Iraq, Egypt, and Uzbekistan, are participating in the camp in Istanbul’s Sariyer district. They are being trained in subjects such as crisis management on social media, podcasts, fake news,content generation, and video journalism.

Speaking at the event, Anadolu Agency’s News Academy Manager Cihangir Isbilir said that they aim to pass on the agency’s 102 years of experience in journalism to the young participants.

The training program will continue until June 8.
