Turkish defense industry signed a contract of $36.5 million with a country in Africa

With the products of the Turkish defense industry, a contract of approximately $36.5 million was signed with a country in Africa to meet the border and internal security needs.

According to the information received by the AA correspondent, ASISGUARD, which operates in the fields of armed drones, electro-optics and vehicle modernization within the Turkish defense industry, has achieved a significant success in exports.

At the end of the negotiations for a while, a contract of approximately $36.5 million was signed with a country in Africa for the supply of a border and internal security system. General Manager Baris Duzgun signed the contract on behalf of ASISGUARD.

The project includes products for diagnosis/detection, command and control and precautionary/intervention purposes.

In addition to being the main integrator, ASISGUARD will perform system installation and integration activities with armed drones, surveillance, diagnosis/detection camera systems in the project.

Products to be exported

HAVELSAN, STM and Nurol Makina are also involved in the project, which is an example of overseas joint work and marketing activities for the Turkish defense industry. The unity of power between the companies was one of the most important factors in the acquisition of this project.

Within the scope of the project, ASISGUARD will undertake responsibilities such as long-range multi-sensor thermal cameras, towers and equipment to be used for reconnaissance and surveillance, armed drone systems, establishment and equipping of command and control centers, and the energy and data infrastructure of the project.

Fixed-wing sub-cloud autonomous unmanned reconnaissance and surveillance aircraft developed by HAVELSAN and the command and control software to be developed by the company to manage and command the system will be used in the project.

The project will also include 4×4 tactical wheeled armored vehicles manufactured by Nurol Makina and unmanned reconnaissance and surveillance air combat vehicles developed by STM.
