Turkiye: Foreign sales of $1.72 billion from Mediterranean exporters in May

Mediterranean Exporters’ Associations (AKIB) Coordinator Chairman Fuat Tosyali announced that their union made exports of $1.72 billion in May, an increase of 26% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Tosyali said that Mediterranean exporters gave 10.1% support to the country-wide exports of $19 billion in the aforementioned period.

Expressing that AKIB contributed significantly to Turkiye’s foreign sales, Tosyali said:

“In May, we achieved an increase of 26% compared to the same period of the previous year and realized an export of $1.72 billion. We maintained the title of being the union that achieved the highest increase in export volume among the 14 general secretariats in Turkiye in May as well.
