Furniture and Mattress Manufacturers’ Association (MOYSAD), which set out to make Turkiye one of the five largest countries in the world in furniture production and export, held the first of its “Furniture Sector Meetings” at MASKO.
MOYSAD President Alpaslan Baki Ertekin said, “We established MOYSAD with 21 companies and 30 brands in October 2021. We saw the sector’s problems as our own problems and we covered some distance in a period of 11 months. It is mentioned that there are 65 thousand enterprises and it is said that they employ 500 thousand people directly and indirectly. Last year, we had an export of $4.8 billion.”
