Turkiye and UAE delegations met at the investment workshop

Minister Varank met with three UAE ministers and CEOs in Turkiye to embody investment opportunities. Varank said, “This visit will make significant contributions to cooperation in the fields of industry, investment and technology.”

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank met with the United Arab Emirates Industry and Advanced Technology Minister Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber at the Presidential Dolmabahce Work Office.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and Sarah Al Amiri, UAE Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology, President of the Presidency Investment Office Burak Daglioglu, President of the Presidency Digital Transformation Office Dr. Ali Taha Koc and Deputy Ministers Hasan Buyukdede and Mehmet Fatih Kacir.

During the meeting between the delegations, which was closed to the press, relations between the two countries and areas of cooperation were discussed.

“We will sign a memorandum of understanding to improve our cooperation in space science technologies and applications”

Minister Varank and three UAE ministers went to the conference hall for the “Turkiye – UAE Investment Workshop” after the meeting between the delegations, which lasted for about an hour.

In his speech at the opening of the investment workshop, Varank pointed out the importance of the visit and meeting and said that the intense contacts between the leaders of the two countries played an important role in bringing the bilateral relations to a very high level.

Stating that this visit will make significant contributions to cooperation in the fields of industry, investment and technology, Varank said:

“Today, we are also organizing an Investment Workshop with companies from renewable energy, automotive, petrochemical, machinery, food, health, e-commerce and many other sectors. We will evaluate potential cooperation opportunities together. Today, we have created the environment for our Turkish and UAE companies and institutions to develop concrete projects that can establish new connections. Hopefully, this program will be instrumental in diversifying our trade and encouraging our new investments.

Today, we will also sign a memorandum of understanding to improve our cooperation in the fields of space science technologies and applications. My friend Jabir and I have been instructed by our leaders to do everything we can to build stronger, more sustainable economies.”

Representatives of the two countries met at the workshop

In the workshop held within the framework of the visit, three ministers from the UAE, top managers of investment funds and companies, Turkish public and private sector organizations and representatives of the business world took part.

In the workshop, besides the meetings between the equivalent ministries, potential cooperation opportunities between the representatives of public subsidiaries and companies operating in various sectors and the leading companies of the UAE were evaluated.

UAE’s investment opportunities in Turkiye become concrete

According to the information given, after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s diplomatic traffic, the investments that the UAE plans to make in the Turkish economy become clear.

In this context, Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the UAE, Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and Sarah Bint Yousef Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technologies, who is also the Head of the UAE Space Agency, came to Turkiye.

During the meeting between the delegations hosted by Minister Varank, the details of the new era that started in Turkiye-UAE relations, which normalized with mutual high-level visits, were discussed.

Within the framework of the visit, it is planned to concretize the investment opportunities of the UAE in Turkiye and to determine the areas of cooperation between the two countries.
