“We believe that it will take its place in the kitchen of more countries”

Sanliurfa Commodity Exchange Assembly President Isa Kizildemir said that the value of agricultural production is being understood more and more all over the world.

Emphasizing that Turkiye continued its agricultural production with the right decisions while the whole world was shutting down during the epidemic period, Kizildemir said, “Our farmers continue their production as they did in that day. Sanliurfa is the first name that comes to mind when it comes to bitter and isot. A significant part of the chili pepper sold in Turkiye is produced in our city. Many exporting companies export chili peppers, which are produced and prepared in Sanliurfa and the Southeast. We believe that the chili peppers produced in the coming years will take their place in the cuisines of more countries.”

Kizildemir stated that the harvest of the planted peppers will begin soon, adding that they expect the export figures to increase even more until the end of the year with the production of chili peppers in the new season.
