While 134 thousand 259 units were sold in the second-hand online passenger and light commercial vehicle market in Turkiye in October, prices decreased by 1.54% compared to the previous month. The largest share in second-hand online car sales was made by diesel engine cars.
10 thousand 9 more corporate advertisements were published compared to September and 29 thousand 492 more than October last year. It was observed that 134 thousand 259 ads, which is 35% of the 388 thousand 283 corporate ads published in October, were sold.
In this context, there was a 5% decrease in sales compared to September and a 7% decrease compared to October last year.
In the January-October period of this year, a 10% increase in sales was recorded compared to the same period last year.
According to the analysis made by examining the price changes of 139 thousand 335 ads for 253 models of the top 32 best-selling brands in the second-hand online passenger and light commercial vehicle market, in October, retail prices in this market decreased by 1.54% compared to the previous month. Last month, vehicle prices decreased by 2.59% on a monthly basis.
520 second-hand electric cars were sold
When evaluated according to engine type, diesel cars had the highest share in the said market last month with sales of 82 thousand 412 units.
Diesel cars were followed by gasoline cars with 47 thousand 6 sales and auto gas cars with 3 thousand 413 sales. The number of hybrid car sales was 908, and the number of second-hand electric car sales was 520. In October 2022, 376 second-hand electric cars were sold.
40% of passenger cars sold last month were C segment vehicles. Compared to October 2022, the share of sales of S and SUV segment vehicles in total passenger vehicle sales increased. There was an increase in the sales share of the D SUV, S and C SUV segments in October compared to September.
