An investment and cooperation agreement was signed between Akincilar Tactical Textile company, which produces in the field of technical textiles in Izmir, and the Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan.
According to the statement made by the company, within the scope of the protocol signed by Akincilar Tactical Textile Chairman Ahmet Can Uzuntepe and Azerbaijan Defense Industry Ministry Scientific Research Institute President Mursel Aliyev, a joint production facility and test laboratory will be established in Azerbaijan.
The company, which produces ballistic vests, ballistic helmets, bulletproof wearable technologies, military assault vests, special operational clothes, tactical and outdoor clothes with local and national resources in Izmir, will carry out some of its innovative textile works in the factory to be established in Baku.
It is aimed to sell bulletproof steel vests, helmets and military materials to be produced in the joint production facility to other countries.
Uzuntepe, whose views were included in the statement, said:
“The ballistic and tactical textile products to be produced will reach the status of 100% domestic production in our sister country Azerbaijan within a period of three years. Within the scope of the cooperation, bulletproof military equipment will be produced for the first time in Azerbaijan. In the innovation center established, Akincilar Tactical Textile engineers and Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense Industry Scientific Research Institute engineers will work in the field of joint technology production. We will carry out some of the innovative textile works we carry out in our country in Baku, within the framework of the protocol we signed with our sister country Azerbaijan. In this way, Turkish brands will take a more active role in Turkish geographies.”
