Turkish dried fruit exports exceeded $1B of value

Birol Celep, the President of the Aegean Dried Fruit and Products Exporters Association, stated that the exports of raisins, dried apricots and dried figs exceeded the $ 1 billion threshold in the 2019-2020 season.

According to the data of Aegean Exporters Union; the 80 percent of Turkey’s raisin exports worth $509 million 940 thousand were made to European Union countries; England took place at the top with a demand of $154 million 740 thousand.

In the dried apricot exports list, USA took the first place with $35.5 million of exports, following USA; Germany demanded $24 million of Turkish apricot and France demanded $22.5 million.

According to the data, the export target of 70 thousand tons is accomplished in the dried fig exports, Germany demanded the most dried figs with an export value of $34 million 703 thousand.
