Turkish company Europrint produced portable charging unit for electric vehicles: e-Mobi

Berkan Bayram, the founder of Europrint, which operates in the field of electric transportation and charging, stated that the tests of the e-Mobi portable charging station, which will meet the energy need for environmentally friendly electric vehicles in emergency situations and have an electricity production capacity of 24 kilowatt-hours, have been successfully completed and put on the market.

Berkan Bayram, the founder of Europrint, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that with the increasing interest in electric vehicles in recent years, companies operating in this field have turned to developing technologies and software such as charging units and portable charging stations.

Emphasizing that the biggest concern for electric car users today is range, Bayram said, “With current technologies, charging units and stations provide service from a fixed point. E-Mobi aims to fill a deficiency at this point. Although the range may seem sufficient in some cases, this time the problem of availability or functioning of the charging station at the point you go to arises. In such cases, energy needs can be met and comfort in transportation can be increased by using charging units that provide portable electricity service.”

Bayram stated that in the development of the e-Mobi station, which can provide mobile charging support, artificial intelligence technologies based on the Internet of Things (IoT) are used.

Noting that users are also supported via the phone application, Bayram said:

“The station knows the electric car it will serve, evaluates its technical data and transfers the correct charging current to the vehicle at the right time. Our e-Mobi product, which has been tested on the road, has been produced for professional use. The product includes 2 battery packs with a production capacity of 24 kilowatt-hours, 2 inverters of 22 kilowatts and 2 panels for charging. It can support AC (normal charging) and DC (fast charging). The new generation electric cars can provide 80 kilometers of range transfer in 30 minutes. It gives a range of 15 kilometers in 5 minutes, which is enough to the nearest charging point.”

Bayram emphasized that the warranty period of the e-Mobi platform is three years, depending on the terms of use.

Expressing that there may be a 35% loss of efficiency between 3 and 8 years after the E-Mobi device is started, Bayram said, “The battery pack consists of a total of 2,352 cylindrical batteries based on lithium-ion. Although the battery cells are of Chinese origin, their modularization and battery management software were 100% domestically produced in our country. In addition, e-Mobi is provided to the user with the software and user interface. We aim for the product to take place rapidly in the markets we have determined in the short term.”

Bayram added that the charging unit has a wide range that can be used by roadside assistance companies, insurance companies, electric vehicle charging station operators, automotive brands, ship industry, aircraft industry, motorcycle and bicycle companies, energy companies, technology brands, automotive supply industry companies, municipalities.
