Turkiye: $331 million of dried fruit exports were made from Southeastern Anatolia in 2022

Mehmet Cikmaz, President of the Southeast Anatolian Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, stated that $331 million of dried fruit exports were realized from the region in 2022.

According to the written statement made by the union, $1 billion 573 million 464 thousand of dried fruits were exported to 104 countries in 2022. $331 million 207 thousand of this export was realized from Southeastern Anatolia.

Mehmet Cikmaz, whose views were included in the statement, stated that 2023 will be the year of promotion for dried fruit exports.

Cikmaz said:

“The year 2022 has been a productive year for our industry. Despite many difficulties and global crises, our regional exporters managed to export our various dried fruit products grown in the fertile lands of Anatolia to 104 countries around the world, and in 2022, we exported a total of $331 million 207 thousand of dried fruit from our region with an increase of 2.1% compared to the same periods of the previous year. We want to increase our share in the international market by working harder than in previous years.”
