TOGG CEO Gurcan Karakad said, “We are also working on the future of the T10F, that is, we are working on an SUV in the B segment, which we always say. By this time next year, after the sales of the T10F start, we may be ready to show the T8X.”
TOGG Chief Executive (CEO) Gurcan Karakas made evaluations in the test drive program held at Togg Technology Campus in Gemlik, Bursa.
Stating that the four-wheel drive version of the T10X may be offered for sale in the “limited edition” version in June-July, Karakas shared information about the time when Togg will expand abroad.
Karakas said, “We are continuing our activities to gradually gain a foothold in Europe as of the end of this year. We had already established our company, TOGG Europe GmbH, in May 2021, and we are currently creating the infrastructure. We want to start pre-sales of the T10X in Europe at the end of this year and start deliveries in the new model year (2025).”
“Our international strategy is being updated in accordance with market dynamics”
Gurcan Karakas stated that the brand’s foreign target market strategy has been updated in line with market dynamics and continued his words as follows:
“For a few years, we said, ‘We will start from the Scandinavian countries, go to the Netherlands and Belgium, and then gradually come to the center of the region.’ We changed this because the sector is developing very quickly and Chinese brands are spreading everywhere very quickly. Therefore, we decided to enter Europe’s largest market, the triangle of Germany, France and Italy, while we were at the beginning of the journey, before it was completely filled. Because now we feel that power and experience in ourselves.”
“There is no other company that produced and sold 20 thousand units in its first year of production.”
TOGG CEO Karakas mentioned that they saw a record demand when they put their first models on sale and said that they sold all the vehicles they planned to produce in 2023 in 18 hours.
Stating that they sold more than the number of all electric cars sold in 2022 in the first 8 hours, Karakas made the following statements:
“From here, we received answers to two important questions; the first was ‘Is Turkiye ready for such a change?’, and we saw that it was ready. Users buy T10X knowingly and willingly. More than 80% of the orders came for the most equipped version. And we delivered the first 20 thousand from April 2023 until the end of the year. As far as we know, there is no other company in the world, Europe, America or among Chinese companies that has produced and sold 20 thousand units in its first year of production. In that respect, it is a good success, a good start, or rather a good start, both for our country and for all of us. From now on, we need to bring it back. We all work day and night for that.”
“Our success will continue with new models”
Gurcan Karakas explained that this success will continue with new models and that the continuation will come with the second models fastback and the third model.
Recalling that they exhibited the T10F in January, Karakas said, “We showed it, but we were working on it a year ago. Now we are working on the aftermath of the T10F in the same way, that is, we are working on an SUV in the B segment, which we always say. This time next year, we may be ready to show the T8X after the sales of the T10F start.”
