TURKCELL has become the patent champion of Turkey with its R&D studies, as well as the innovative products and services it has developed.
In Turkey, more than 8,400 patent applications were filed last year. Turkcell Technology company, which carries out R&D activities of Turkcell in the field of information and communication technologies, became the champion in the number of national applications by making a total of 565 national patent applications last year.
Turkcell General Manager Murat Erkan said, “We have produced more than 1,200 inventions and they have turned into a patent application, which is more than the previous year.” Murat Erkan said that Turkcell’s R&D investment in 2021 reached ₺681 million.
