Istanbul-based mobile game startup Fortune Mine Games received a seed investment of $2 million

Istanbul-based mobile gaming startup Fortune Mine Games recently completed a $2 million seed investment round with the participation of leading regional VCs including Ludus, Tera Portfolio, Heaventures and Startupfon.

The company, which has now reached a team of 14 people, was founded in 2021 by Deniz Korzay, Bulut Korzay, Ozer Hobek and Utku Saridede.

Fortune Mine, built on a unique product-oriented mindset based on rapid production, efficient resource use and data-drivenness, develops innovative player experiences targeting large audiences.

The company stated that the new investment will be used for the further development of its existing games, Cuisine Master – Coin Journey. The game in question is currently in the soft-launch stage and has passed 400 thousand downloads. It features hybrid monetization and live-ops, and blends a delicious combination of powerful features from various game genres with casual casual game dynamics based on luck.

Deniz Korzay, the founding partner and CEO of the company, made a statement about the new investment round;

“Our top priority is to create a culture of our own to become a product company. We are building the most talented and dedicated team in the mobile gaming space. The new investment will be used to deepen the content side of our game, which will be played for at least 5 to 10 years in the casual gaming category, and to further develop our data analytics, live-ops and artificial intelligence capabilities.”

Ludus, the region’s premier gaming-focused VC, was the lead investor in this round, just like Fortune Mine’s pre-seed round. Company spokesperson and GP Ismet Goksen said:

“We have been behind Fortune Mine Games from day one. We are confident that they will bring together the most determined and best team in our region and create a new success story.”
