Turkey’s exports to Israel increased by $178 million 805 thousand in April compared to the same period of the previous year. Israel was recorded as the 9th country to which Turkey exports the most.

According to the information compiled from the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), Turkey’s exports to Israel reached an all-time high on a monthly basis with $711 million 200 thousand in April. Exports to Israel in April increased by 33.6% compared to the same period last year.

Israel’s share in Turkey’s total exports was 3%.

Israel entered the top 10

Israel, which managed to enter the top 10 in Turkey’s export market last month, was recorded as the 9th country to which Turkey exported the most during this period.

Israel became the 8th country in which Turkey increased its exports the most in terms of quantity. Turkey’s exports to Israel increased by $178 million 805 thousand in April compared to the same period of the previous year.

The steel industry made the most exports to the country with $179 million 283 thousand.

The steel industry was followed by chemicals and products with $73 million 247 thousand, the automotive industry with $66 million 72 thousand, ready-made clothing and apparel with $52 million 822 thousand, Furniture, paper and forest products with $51 million 745 thousand, electricity and electronics with $50 million 82 thousand, cement, glass, ceramics and soil products with $46 million 412 thousand, Ferrous and non-ferrous metals followed with $41 million 676 thousand and jewelry industry with $27 million 508 thousand.

Steel industry leads in export growth

The steel industry made the highest increase in exports on a quantity basis in April, with $66 million 198 thousand in exports to Israel.

Automotive industry increased by $22 million 143 thousand, electrical and electronics sector increased by $17 million 894 thousand, chemicals and products increased by $15 million 931 thousand, cement, glass, ceramics and soil products increased by $15 million 202 thousand.
