Agricultural input price index increased by 3.46% on a monthly basis and by 27.7% annually in June

Agricultural input price index (Agriculture-GFE) increased by 3.46% on a monthly basis and by 27.7% on an annual basis in June.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the Agri-GFE data for the month of June.

Accordingly, the index increased by 3.46% in June compared to the previous month, by 13.82% compared to December of the previous year, by 27.7% compared to the same month of the previous year and by 77.36% compared to the twelve-month averages.

Compared to the previous month, the index of goods and services used in agriculture increased by 3.24% and the index of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment increased by 4.85% in the main groups compared to the previous month. Compared to the same last year, there was an increase of 23.06% in the index of goods and services used in agriculture, and an increase of 67.65% in the index of goods and services that contribute to agricultural investment.

Subgroups

According to the Annual Agri-GFE, 2 subgroups showed lower variation and 9 subgroups showed higher variation. The subgroups with the highest annual increase were materials with 78.75% and other goods and services with 74%, respectively. The only subgroup that showed a decrease compared to the same month of the previous year was energy and fats with 12.85%.

According to the monthly Agri-GFE, 6 subgroups showed lower variation and 5 subgroups showed higher variation. The subgroups, which decreased compared to the previous month, were recorded as fertilizers and soil improvers with 0.78%, seeds and planting materials with 1.5%, respectively. On the other hand, the subgroups with the highest monthly increase were listed as veterinary expenditures with 9.41%, energy and fats with 8.9%, respectively.
