Spot market natural gas prices for Friday, Oct. 9

The trade volume of Turkey’s spot natural gas market increased by 29.6% to 15.36 million Turkish liras on Friday, Turkey’s Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data showed on Saturday.

Total trade on Thursday amounted to 11.85 million liras.

On Friday’s spot market, 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas cost 1,307 liras, while the total natural gas trade volume amounted to 11.74 million cubic meters.

Turkey received 119.16 million cubic meters of pipeline gas on Friday.

US$1 equals 7.86 Turkish liras at 1129 GMT on Saturday.

Spot market electricity prices for Sunday, Oct. 11

The highest electricity rate for one megawatt-hour in the day-ahead spot market for Sunday will be 318.71 Turkish liras at 19.00 local time and the lowest will be 248.74 liras at 07.00 local time, according to official figures on Saturday.

Turkey’s Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Saturday’s electricity market showed a decrease of 16% to 138.2 million liras compared to Friday.

The arithmetical and weighted average price of electricity on the day-ahead spot market is calculated as 290.54 liras and 291.53 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price for one megawatt-hour on the day-ahead spot market on Saturday was set at 359.90 Turkish liras at 19.00 local time and the lowest 291.33 liras at 06.00 local time.

US$1 equals 7.86 Turkish liras at 1129 GMT on Saturday.
