BIST 100 index gains some 20 points from previous close
Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 2,013.97 points on Tuesday, up 10.77 points, or 0.54%, from its previous close.
The BIST 100 index climbed by 20.02 points, or 1.01%, from its Monday close of 2,003.20 points, with a daily trading volume of 28.87 billion Turkish liras ($1.8 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 13.3733 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) from 13.4100.
The euro/lira exchange rate stood at 15.0185 versus 15.0010,while a British pound traded for 17.9784 liras, down from 18.0600.
Brent crude oil sold for around $89.4 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
