Country’s automotive exports up 30% in 8 months on annual basis
Turkey’s automotive industry exports totaled $19.2 billion in the first eight months of this year, an exporters association announced on Monday.
The country’s automotive exports rose by 30% (in terms of dollars) year-on-year in the first eight-month period, said the Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association (OIB).
The auto sector ranked first in the country’s overall exports, with 13.4%.
In the first eight months, automotive production increased by 14% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 814,520 units, while automobile production increased by 6% to 511,766 units.
Together with the tractor production, the total production reached 850,811 units.
