Turkish Delights: Aydo Lounge and Grill Adds a Taste of Turkiye to Brighton Marina’s New Ventures

A Turkish restaurant is among the six new businesses to have opened at Brighton Marina over the summer. Aydo Lounge and Grill has opened on the Boardwalk of the marina.

As well as specialising in Turkish cuisine, the restaurant has has everything sourced from Turkey to create an ambient atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. Restaurant owner Aydin Unat said: “This is such an exciting moment for me and my family.

“It has taken many, many years of planning. Everything in the restaurant has been sourced from Turkey which is one of the leading countries in interior design. I wanted to create a sumptuous and luxurious space for Brighton and Hove residents to enjoy the décor & ambience,as well as the food.”

As well as the Turkish restaurant, five other new businesses have opened at the marina, including an American diner called Karen’s, which specialises in rude service and good food.

Cafe Havana also opened on the Boardwalk in Brighton Marina, with a speciality in burgers, grills and perri perri chicken. As well as restaurants, other business ventures have blossomed across the marina, including a new Marina Village Store.

For the amusement of locals and residents, a new venture called VGOLF & Games Room is set to open next month (September 1), allowing people to play on “state-of-the-art” virtual golf simulators and shuffle lanes. People will also be able be able to have a go playing augmented reality darts in the games room.

One of the final new business ventures to open this summer at the end of September in Brighton Marina is Kutchenhaus, a new kitchen showroom which features kitchens built with German manufacturing quality. Discussing the new business ventures at the marina, Residents Association Chair, Keith Malcolm said: “From the perspective of a Brighton Marina resident it’s been great to see a flurry of new businesses coming to the Marina in the last few months.

“With 3 new restaurants opening on the waterside Boardwalk this summer, as well as new recreational businesses Vroom Racing and Vgolf complementing existing outlets, the leisure and dining choices on our doorsteps are much improved. The new retail outlets in the Village Square area are also very welcome.

“It benefits all of us who live in the Marina to have thriving commercial activities in this unusual location by the sea that we share and I’m sure Marina residents will wish the new businesses every success as well as supporting them as customers.”
