Istanbul Airport became the busiest airport in Europe with an average of 1229 flights per day.
The European Air Navigation Safety Organization published its report containing January data for European airports and air traffic.
Accordingly, Istanbul Airport completed January with an average of 1229 daily flights in terms of number of flights, while London Heathrow Airport became the second busiest airport in Europe with 1104 flights.
