Turkey spot market electricity and natural gas prices for 4th week of Aug

Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 183.3 million Turkish liras

The highest electricity rate for one megawatt-hour in the day-ahead spot market for Sunday will be 329.99 Turkish liras at 16.00 local time and the lowest will be 224.35 liras at 06.00 local time, according to official figures on Sunday.

Turkey’s Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Sunday’s electricity market showed an increase of 22.1% to 183.3 million liras compared to Saturday.

The arithmetical and weighted average price of electricity on the day-ahead spot market is calculated as 305.01 liras and 302.19 liras,respectively.

The highest electricity price for one megawatt-hour on the day-ahead spot market on Sunday was set as 311.82 Turkish liras at 20.00 local time and the lowest was 226.02 liras at 06.00 local time.

US$1 equals 7.33 Turkish liras at 1129 GMT on Sunday.

1,000 cubic meters of natural gas on spot market costs 1,309 Turkish liras

The trade volume of Turkey’s spot natural gas market increased by 32% to 5.9 million Turkish liras on Friday, Turkey’s Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data showed on Saturday.

Total trade on Thursday amounted to 4.4 million liras.

On Friday’s spot market, 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas cost 1,309 liras, while the total natural gas trade volume amounted to 4.47 million cubic meters.

Turkey received 122.01 million cubic meters of pipeline gas on Friday.

US$1 equals 7.33 Turkish liras at 1103 GMT on Saturday.
